MY STORY

Born and raised in West Yorkshire, England until I found and married the love of my life in Dominica before bravely starting a new chapter together in Down Under. No, I haven’t seen a wild snake yet.

My wife and I are raising a bilingual, bilcultual child who is a Coda (Child of Deaf Adults). Miss O’s life is embedded with Auslan, Deaf culture, as well as Dominican influence which plays a big role in our Montessori journey

APPROACH

There's a language we ALL know without realizing: body language. Ashton believes that gesture and quietness are the key to achieving the natural softness and calm attitude for this kind of shoot. He is passionate about shooting film and loves the authentic and timeless photographs which capture the softness, grainy, delicate and beautiful details.

Ashton’s work is published by Over The Moon, Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, BBC, Martha Stewart Weddings, Cosmopolitan, Wedding Sparrow, Magnolia Rouge, Love my Dress, MunaLuchi and among others.

“You ARE ONE OF THEM”

“Knowing you from afar on social, I had this feeling that you were a deep soul. But meeting you has taken my admiration for you to new levels. There are some people in this world that have an unique ability to touch others - you are one of them”

~ Joy Proctor, Named Top Designer by Harper’s Bazaar & Vogue

KIND WORDS

“Ashton, thank you so so so so much for this weekend! You were seriously amazing and everyone was in awe of you! Everyone is obsessed with what you’ve posted so far, and so are we! You’re the best!”

Ashton Jean Pierre is an amazing photographer and wonderful to work with. We hardly knew he was there and when we did see him and his partner, they were great to be around. Ashton was the first thing I booked with regards to the wedding. I saw his photos at a wedding fair and was blown away, then I met him and realised he shot in film only and I was sold!

"You have been so wonderful to us during the whole day, you were patient, kind, made us feel so relaxed and you paid attention to the smallest details. I am beyond grateful to have stumbled upon you and couldn’t think of having anyone else to capture our special moments"

"I absolutely love the photos so much! We were so lucky to have you as a photographer, we are like good friends

On the day, we barely noticed them—too wrapped up in our moment to even notice. Which is a huge compliment to the photographers—not intrusive at all. One of our favourite moments in the day was between the ceremony and reception when we sneaked out and ventured through Swallowfields with Ashton —such a fun time. And we are in love with the images. Magical.

Couldn’t have imagine anyone else capture our wedding day! You made me and normally camera shy Sam so comfortable!
